Who is a fan girl?

Urban Dictionary gave many definitions but the one I liked the most was this one.

A teenage girl who is kind of obsessed with a band, footballer, singer, actor etc. They are perfectly normal girls , dont look fat or ugly and most of them are cool people. There are a few who are completely crazy and scarily obsessed but most of us are just normal people who enjoy talking about hot guys and reading fanfics about them. Yes, we use words such as glomp and squee alot and maybe we slightly overuse punctuation sometimes but its fun! And we cant help it - if you fangirl over something its actually an emotion. You just literally cant help it.

Because it's a lie , the truth really is that a fan girl is this definition:

 a female fan, obsessed with something (or someone) to a frightening or sickening degree. Often considered ditzy, annoying and shallow. 

Haha okay, maybe not but I really can't define what being a fan girl is. If you're a fan girl and you're reading this I bet you know what you are. It's hard to explain, that feeling you get when you see your favourite band, singer or athlete on tv. What you do? That's called fangirling.

fangirling: the reaction a fangirl has to any mention or sighting of the object of her "affection". These reactions include shortness of breath, fainting, highpitched noises, shaking, fierce head shaking as if in the midst of a seizure, wet panties, endless blog posts, etc.
